Artist Spotlight GLENN KAISER Before he was 19, Glenn Kaiser had been a member of over a dozen bands in Milwaukee, WI. Glenn met Wendi Herrin and they married in June 1972, and soon formed the band Charity. In late1972 they relocated to Chicago, renaming the band Resurrection Band as an outreach of JPUSA (Jesus People USA), where Glenn was a pastor. After nearly 30 years of ministry Resurrection Band called it a career in 2000, yet Glenn, while he has been a part of nearly 40 albums with REZ, a solo artist, and with the Glenn Kaiser Band, will not be slowing down anytime soon. He is currently producing instructional guitar videos and will be returning to the studio with GKB in early 2008. http://www.glennkaiser.com/ BLOODGOOD Bloodgood got its start opening for Stryper in Seattle, WA in 1985, after which they recorded a 4-song cassette demo "Metal Missionaries", ultimately signing with Frontline Records. Their street metal sound was intense and bold, and their concerts were major theatrical events, which drew criticism and protesting from conservative factions within the Christian community. Though the band went through many personnel changes, including David Zaffiro, Kevin Whistler (Watchmen) and Paul Roraback (Grammatrain), Bloodgood stayed the course, producing 5 studio albums and several Live albums. Now, after a 13 year hiatus, Bloodgood is back. With newest member Oz Fox, Michael Bloodgood, Les Carlsen, Paul Jackson and Mark Welling are set to release a new cd in early 2008. Michael Bloodgood, who is senior pastor of Calvary Chapel Redmond, WA is set to release a worship cd in late 2007. Check out the band's Cornerstone SoCal performance of LedZep's "Rock 'n Roll" intense, driving, ferocious rock on their website. http://www.bloodgoodband.com/ |
